Hey, I'm Kaija!

I'm Kaija Joy,
and I mean all of it.

I'm a Minnesotan, a content creator, and someone who's been through enough to know what actually matters. I've been sober over 2,000 days. I recovered from peripheral neuropathy that left me bedbound. I went through eating disorder recovery. None of that is a punchline — I talk about it because the silence around it is worse.

Most of my content is about Minnesota, because that's where I am and what I know. The lakes, the music scene, the Twins, the state fair, the politics, the weather that tries to kill you. I say what I think and I'm not interested in pretending otherwise.

I live in a small town with my fiance Patrick. We own our home outright at 35. I bake sourdough, go to local shows, and drink coffee from a Bunn that's older than most of my audience.
